Calvary Baptist Church of Hawthorne
Calvary Baptist Church is located in the City of Hawthorne, California at 4081 W. El Segundo Blvd. Calvary Baptist Church was established in 1948 and went through various Pastors and Leaders under the Southern Baptist Association.
For more than 70 years Calvary has served the City of Hawthorne and surrounding cities with the gospel of Jesus Christ through word and deed. Originally Calvary's congregation was predominantly Caucasian, but has since become a very diverse body of believers.
Calvary Baptist is currently under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Hosea Collins, who is originally from Coushatta, Louisiana. The church experienced exponential growth in a very short time under his leadership. He strongly believes that the church should meet everyone where they are, but leave no one as they were. Calvary Baptist Church is dedicated to reaching the lost, edifying the saved and empowering disciples to continue the great commission of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
